MS. MILLER'S KINDERGARTEN CLASS

FISH ON STRETCHED CANVAS
One, two, three, four, five,
Once I caught a fish alive,
Six, seven, eight, nine, ten,
Then I let him go again.
Why did yo let him go?
Because he bit my finger so!
Which finger did he bite?
This little finger on the right!
Local Artist Jennifer Mercede collaborated with Ms. Miller's kindergarten class to create a large fish painting on stretched canvas. The students chose several colorful fish that Jennifer transfered with pencil onto the canvas. She taught them about balance and composition. Then each student had the opportunity to paint and fill in the drawings....adding pattern and embelishments.
Students continued to add color with crayons and paint, plus adding fine details.
